These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the booking of our workshops and services.

By using our website or booking a workshop, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use our services.

2. Our Services

We provide data education and consultancy services, including:

  • Data for Designers workshops
  • Data for Senior Leaders workshops
  • Bespoke data workshops tailored to your organisation

All workshop content, including frameworks, materials, and methodologies, remains our intellectual property.


3. Booking and Payment

How to Book

You can book a workshop by:

  • Contacting us directly via email
  • Filling out our contact form

Your booking is confirmed once we’ve sent you a written confirmation and you’ve paid the required deposit or full payment.

Payment Terms
  • Deposit: We require a deposit to secure your booking. The deposit amount will be confirmed when you book.
  • Full payment: The remaining balance is due 14 days before the workshop date.
  • Payment methods: We accept bank transfer, card payments, or other methods as agreed.

If full payment isn’t received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and retain the deposit.

Invoicing

We will send you an invoice for all payments. Please ensure payment is made by the date specified on the invoice.


4. Workshop Capacity

Data for Designers:

  • Minimum participants: 3
  • Maximum participants: 10

Data for Senior Leaders:

  • Minimum participants: 3
  • Maximum participants: 6

Bespoke workshops:

  • Participant numbers will be agreed when booking

If minimum numbers aren’t met, we reserve the right to cancel the workshop (see Cancellation by Us below).


5. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation by You

If you need to cancel your booking:

  • More than 14 days before the workshop: Full refund
  • 7-14 days before the workshop: 50% refund
  • Less than 7 days before the workshop: No refund

Refunds will be processed within 14 days of cancellation.

Rescheduling by You

If you need to reschedule:

  • More than 14 days before: Free rescheduling (subject to availability)
  • Less than 14 days before: We’ll do our best to accommodate, but may charge an administrative fee
Cancellation by Us

If we need to cancel a workshop (for example, due to insufficient numbers, illness, or unforeseen circumstances), you will be offered:

  • Option 1: Transfer to another workshop date (subject to availability)
  • Option 2: Full refund of all payments made

We’re not liable for any additional costs you may have incurred (such as travel or accommodation).


6. Workshop Attendance

Your Responsibilities
  • Arrive on time and ready to participate
  • Bring any materials we’ve asked you to prepare (e.g., your own business brief if doing BYOB)
  • Respect other participants and our instructors
  • Not disrupt the workshop
Our Responsibilities
  • Deliver the workshop content as described
  • Provide a safe, inclusive learning environment
  • Provide any materials or resources specified in the workshop description
Non-Attendance

If you don’t attend a workshop without giving notice, you won’t receive a refund.


7. Intellectual Property and Materials

Our IP

All workshop content, frameworks, materials, templates, and methodologies are our intellectual property and remain our property.

What You Can Do
  • Use the frameworks and materials for your own personal or business use
  • Share key concepts and learnings from the workshop in your work
  • Reference our frameworks in your portfolio or presentations (with appropriate credit)
What You Can’t Do
  • Reproduce our materials in full and distribute them to others
  • Use our content to run your own training workshops
  • Claim our frameworks or materials as your own
  • Record video or audio of the workshop without our permission

If you’d like to share our materials more widely or use them in specific ways, just ask us – we’re usually happy to work something out.


8. Confidentiality

Your Information

Any business information you share during workshops (your briefs, data, strategies, challenges) will be kept confidential and not shared with others without your permission.

Other Participants

If you’re attending a group workshop, please respect the confidentiality of what other participants share.


9. Limitation of Liability

What We’re Responsible For

We take reasonable care to deliver high-quality workshops and won’t exclude liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Anything else we can’t legally exclude
What We’re Not Responsible For

To the extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for:

  • Any business losses (lost profits, revenue, contracts, opportunities)
  • Decisions you make based on workshop content
  • Results you do or don’t achieve after attending
  • Technical issues beyond our control (e.g., venue problems, power cuts)

Our workshops provide education and frameworks. How you apply them is up to you, and results will vary.


10. Website Use

Acceptable Use

You can use our website to:

  • Learn about our services
  • Contact us
  • Book workshops

You must not:

  • Use our website for anything illegal
  • Try to hack, damage, or disrupt our website
  • Copy our website content without permission
  • Use automated systems to scrape our content

Content Accuracy

We try to keep our website accurate and up to date, but we can’t guarantee everything is always 100% correct. If you spot an error, let us know.
